I have a 2006 2.4 4 cyl crysler sebring. one day at a stop sign it just shut down. it didnt make no noise.?

I heard that the timing belt needs to be replaces. Now m question is, is that something I can do? I know how to work on cars but nothing major. Would it be hard and how much labor time are we talking about? I know how much it will cost me but I was wondering how to set the timing also. Any special tools I need? Just send me more info please. Hope to have it running this weekend. Thanks for all your time...
