Amphibians that dont eat mice or insects as pets?

hi, i have $206 and would like to have a amphibiana as a pet(i can only get mostly aquatic)and i have a ehobia of bugs. i was just wondering, if i get newts, what would be the care on them, and could i feed them freeze dried bloodworms as a staple diet? i dont have a problem feeding worms, just not any other insect. thanks for your time, and i have never had a amphibious pet before!
