Can a judge grant a one-day waiver for someone on a suspended license in virginia?

i have a restricted license to work and school from january 08 to october 08, but because i am a guy and prom is next week i was wondering if its possible for a judge in virginia to grant a one day waiver so i could drive my prom date on prom night. any body know? is it even worth it to go up to the courthouse and try? thanks
