Would Great Britain be particularly concerned if New Zealand was taken over by Australia?

Although the two countries are the closest allies, both stll recognized as ANZACS, if we in Australia decided we did actually want those two little Islands off our South Coast, for agricultural interest etc... than would England feel obligued to intevere in our take over of 'little brother'.
