Can you have a home in America built with quality concrete walls like homes in Europe?

Concrete is really not more expensive. Almost all the homes in the hurricane areas like Florida are "block, concrete homes." Concrete homes though often lack the insulation that is required in the colder areas of the USA. Stick built homes that have a good foundation will outlast your lifetime as long as they are free from termites and other such pests. As to drywall, there are contractors that will still do the old style plaster. I am pretty sure that the labor costs here in the USA are cheaper than what you can get in most EU countries.
