If you know anything about tadpoles - please click here :) PLEASE!?

hi there, I've been some growing tadpoles from my pond inside to help their growth rate, i keep a cool temperature of water and feed them goldfish food, I also gave them a pond weed thing and shells and stones for habitat purposes, I recently put in a new shell ,however, which consequently chopped one of the tails of one tadpole off, I dont know what to do with him because I can't tell whether he is doing fine or not, he can still eat and move slowly as he has a VERY small bit of tail left but he can't move around I need help as I've grown emotionally attatched to these little fellas HELP !
