Does market demand for a mutual fund increase its price?

No. A mutual fund is priced each day at the value of the underlying portfolio. It's not a supply/demand situation since the mutual fund company will sell you as many shares of the mutual fund as you're willing to by at the NAV (net et value) of the portfolio.
