How did Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam impact the civil right Movement?

I'm doing this as my coursework atm. The most important point you can make is that Malcolm X scared a lot of neutral groups like the middle cl whites into the civil rights movement. I mean , they feared a movement led by the militant Malcolm so joined with King as a way of counter balancing. Malcolm also got the urban black youth involved as he appealed to their violent mentality
