Ready to have this baby already?

I am 38 wks and I went into early laor about 2wks ago. I have been cramping and contracting alot but not regular since they stopped it. My doctor gave me pain meds but I can not really take them , the meds make me woozy and drowsy. and due to me being a single parent and having a 3yr old running around that is preventing me from taking them regularly plus I do not want that narcotic drug in my system(prevacid). I have been having more discharge lately and more pain, I can barely walk and sleep at night. I have not seen my plug come out yet(did not lose it with my frst child either) I am only 1cm when checked about 2 wks ago.Could I be going in Labor soon? My baby is very low and the Doctor felt the baby's head when I went in early labor. Why am I not progressing? Any Positive advice????
